Laptop for sale

My brother-in-law is not a computer savvy and was asking me if I could get a simple and inexpensive laptop. Simple deal - he wanted to create word documents, spreadsheets, presentations, browse, check mails and hear some songs and that's all, nothing fancy.

I was very sure that I will get a new laptop as I did not want him to face issues later but changed my mind when I saw a laptop for $200. (Courtesy www.ebay.com) Believe it, it had P2 500 MHz 128 MB RAM 4 GB HDD and Win95. I could get a CD/DVD Drive for $10 and 56K modem/ethernet for another $10. Man, which era are we in?

I sigh at my first desktop bought 2 years ago for $1400; I am sure it should be a museum gadget worth less than $100.

Technology changes so fast and the price drops too!
