Extreme Surgeries

Another interesting program I watched was on Extreme Surgeries - courtesy Discovery Health. It talked about giving shape and life back to people who have lost in some kind of accidents through the technology - Prosthetics - branch of medicine dealing with artificial body parts. The parts created were so real that one can hardly make out.

More than limbs and ears, I was impressed with the craftsmanship involved in making the eyes. What a perfection?! All hand-made. I recall the professional wax models they do in the Madam Tussads' Wax Museum. A few days ago I had a chance to watch the complete making of a wax model of an athlete from the London Museum. Too real to not to believe!

Whatever technology comes, arts are going to have their own place, I am sure!
