These days my liking towards apples has decreased but for one recipe - Apple
Salad that too mixed with other vegetables. I used to wonder what is so
special about apple. Is it really true that "An apple a day keeps the doctor
away"?
Little search from Google gave this information: A banana has less water, fifty percent more food energy, four times the protein, half the fat, twice the carbohydrate, almost three times the phosphorus, nearly five times the Vitamin A and iron, at least twice the other vitamins and minerals as an apple. Look for complete nutrition information at Dole 5 A Day website. So is it fair to say "A banana a day is better than an apple a day"? |

| Matrix Reloaded | |
|
With lot of expectation I had watched this movie but came back with
disappointment. Read my review in
Amazon. I heard that the producers are planning to release the IMAX version of the same soon. It would be real fun to watch in biiiiiiiig screen I am sure. No one can beat the special effects of Matrix! |

| Wonderful singer called Swarnalatha | |
|
Have you ever heard the song "Kuyil Paattu O Vandhadhenna" or the song "Porale
Ponnuthaayee" in Tamil? If so, you will enjoy immediately the songs and
appreciate the national award singer - Swarnalatha. Wow! what a voice! Very
magical. I do not know how to mention her voice in musical scales but it is
not the conventional or typical voice you hear often. One of a special and
different kind. Though hailed from Kerala, the singer is settled in Chennai and sings mostly in Tamil. Wait a minute, do not think she is confined just to Tamil. Her song in Rangeela - a blockbuster Hindi movie - "Hey Rama" is a hit number too. She won national award (one of the highest in India) for "Porale Ponnuthayee" from the movie "Karuthamma". Incidentally the lyricist also got national award and the movie for best film with a social theme. The song is one of the best of AR Rehman. |

always enjoy listening to Clark Howard
in the radio. It is fair to say that I learnt lot of stuff from the show.
Kudos Clark! It was interesting to listen today on a topic he discussed about - Buying land on Moon. Do you know that we can buy land on moon? At least from the websites. I do not believe if you can own Moon or any planet other than earth. So did Clark feel! A quick search in Google gets you websites that talked about buying as well as passing news that it is a hoax. The British National Space Centre clearly says that "No one has the right to own land on the moon". While still it is going to be long enough before we could imagine a life in Moon, it is fun hearing about this kind of news. |
