WE NEVER THOUGHT OUR CHOICE ON THE NAME FOR OUR BOY - PRANAV - HAS SO MUCH REVERENCE

[Special Thanks to Suryanarayanan Sivasubramanian - for providing the reference. I call him Sury Sir for the respect and kindness he deserves - a person who is one of my most respected visitors, a friend beyond age - he is 60+ but is very young at heart, a person who has wealth of knowledge - from Omar Kayyam to TQM, and who showed me how to appreciate everything around us]

The word PRANAV appears in Pathanjali's Rajayoga in the central stanza...when being asked to identify the source of the entire creation, Pathanjali in his humility declares:

"Thasya Vachakaha Pranavaha"

The word also is found in Vishnu Sahasranamam in:

"Vaikunta purusha prăna prănadha pranava prathuhu"

The name also is found in the famous Vaathapi Ganapathim:

"pranavasvaroopa vakrathundam"

The name also is found in one of my favorite songs of Yesudas:

"Karam Kondanaikkum Karuna Moorthe
Saranam Saranam Pranava Swaroopane"
