Singa Perumal Temple I was under the impression that this is an extension to Renganathar Temple with some relationship to the main temple but later came to know of a separate story on this. This temple has been existing much before than Renganathar Temple - Several hundred years ago this place was a big forest full of wild elephants and Lord Vishnu had to take the form of Narasimhar (a form of half-human half-lion) to drive away those elephants and to have a place for him. Somehow this temple is not all that famous though very serene. |
